Dirt Hugger compost is organic made from local whole fruit, wood, brush, spent brewery yeast, and food scraps. Is screened less than 3/8” in size during the summer months and 1/2" during the winter months. This compost is perfect for amending into sandy loam or clay soils here in the Pacific Northwest. We recommend applying Dirt Hugger compost in a 2-3″ top-dress and working it 6-8” deep into existing soil. This provides organic content and nutrients, while your local soil will provide the mineral content creating a balanced environment for plant growth.
Compost also aids in water retention, pH buffering, and stimulation of microbiology. This compost is dark in color.
This product is a recycled material.
